Pls-Looking for Mechanic-West London-Slough-ATS Speed Drive

Hi.

I am looking for a good mechanic to install the ATS drive for me in the West London, possibly Slough area. Any ideas?

I'd like to move the ATS drive from my old Mark Sanders edition to a new Strida 5.1 and I wonder if that can be done. I am klutz with such things and don't have the time, so I am looking for someone to do this for me.

Are there any Strida friendly services left in the UK anyway?

If you were closer to Malmesbury, I would be able to point you towards good mechanics...
Looking at a ATS fitting instruction, any descend mechanic should be able to do the swap but, it needs:
- a basic crank square taper puller
- specific tools (ring/C spanners, chamfer cutter proprietary sockets etc.) ~$260

Access to these tool is the limiting factor.

Principially you're pretty right regarding the ATS/Schlumpf drive.
Just, the combination Strida + ATS does require less tools.
The Strida is the only bike where chamfering is not necessary to install an ATS drive (kit).

In ertyui's case it is even more easy, all the mechanic needs to do is to exchange the whole drive including the excenter - it's like plug'n play.

The required "special" tools are:

Ø 60 mm hook key
Metal cylinder with certain dimensions (outer Ø 11,0 mm, inner Ø 4,7 mm, length 10,0 mm)

Respectively a custom made one, or a recessed one (Part H below):

Your links didn't work for me (perhaps that depends on the viewer's location), here's the technical documents page for the Schlumpf speed drive:

Just to give an update on the success of the day!

Found a VERY SPECIAL PLACE!

DENS Bike Project
1 Rossgate, Gadebridge, Hemel Hempstead HP1 3LG

As I said. I had massive trouble finding a service which would take on this very unique job I had on my folding Strida 5.3 bike with ATS drive. Fortunately Adam have took it on, and despite many difficulties and setbacks managed to see it through and made me very happy in the end. Adam seems to be very creative, adventures individual with can-do attitude and one can't ask for more from his service man! Will be back!
