Cyclus Tools — No US retailers?

Cyclus Tools seems to produce high quality bike tools which are relatively inexpensive. I have (and like) their headset press. I'm in the market for a dropout and derailleur hanger alignment tools and figured I'd look for the Cyclus items. They are available from bike24.com in Germany, but nowhere else that I can see. I went ahead and ordered from them. Despite the overseas shipping cost and the delay it still seemed better than my other options. Is there really no US retailer?

Great looking tools.

I’ve got their dropout alignment tools. Exceedingly high quality at a good price. Didn’t realize their line was that extensive. Will have to check them out more closely.

...I never found a US retail source when I was buying them. I got most of mine from these guys, but it looks like they stopped selling tools from the current website.
I always assumed it was some kind of deal with Park tools keeping them from being sold more widely here. It's been hard to find outlets for Hozan tools, too, but there are at least, a few.

...the Cyclus branded bottom bracket piloted taps are a tremendous bargain. I think the Park is selling in the neighborhood of 600 bucks now, and these are currently advertised on sale for 70 bucks. I think I paid something like a hundred dollars for mine, and I was tickled pink to get them at that price. They are good quality HSS taps.

We have a term for that: “restraint of trade.”

...if you drop down to their lesser piloted tap version handles, you can buy either English or Italian for less than 50 bucks. Even with shipping, that's an amazing deal for piloted BB taps of decent quality. Must have something to do with the economic turmoil in Europe right now. I wonder if they have stopped making these, and are closing them out ?

I talked to a guy a couple of months ago who mentioned he bought all his tools from Germany. Even with shipping he said it was cheaper. He thought it might have to do with more people on bikes over there than compared to here so maybe the market is larger.

...here is the Cyclus version of the oversized hole crank extractor, made and sold by Stein in the USA. Amazing pricing. If I didn't already have the Stein puller, I would buy this in a New York minute.

I haven't seen any of their tools in person, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that the Germans make good tools. I've had excellent experiences with tools from Knipex (especially their neat plier-spanner tool, which opens to just over 2"/50mm) and Wera (beautiful stainless steel allen keys in metric sizes that I've used submerged in concentrated nitric acid, though made in the Czech Republic). Not exactly Harbor Freight prices, but well worth what I paid for them.

Thanks for the pointer. I do see the Cyclus tools I just ordered, now that I go looking, but they appear to be quite a bit more expensive. Maybe shipping is baked into the price, but I didn't go that far to check for sure.

...I have no experience with this company, and was surprised to discover it in a Google search. It might be one of those "if it seems to good to be true" things, but if you can pay online with PayPal, I don't see how it could blow up too badly. I'm tempted to order some of the seat tube reamers they show on there, in a couple of sizes that are more common in the bikes I work on, but I need to contact them to clarify sizing, because whatever is on their site is not accurate.

If I get a response that seems to make sense, I'll come back here and post it.

I have found their full catalog from the manufacturer/distributor, but it says access is only given to professional bike shops.
Kundenlogin (ra-co.com)

If needed, I can drop them a line asking if they have official distributor in the States.

Best,
Lattz

EDIT:
According to this (sorry just found after the post) only in Canada, maybe no one dares to try finding a grip on Park at home.

I can find a lot of their tools on eBay. Tomorrow I should be getting a frame alignment gauge that cost half what the Park equivalent goes for.

You can buy them in the U.S. UBI sells them, I think? Okay, I find no evidence of that, but there is a wholesaler in the U.S. so your bike shop could get you some. You probably wouldn't like the prices if you've been on the German sites though.
My lbs has one of the good bb facer/chaser Cyclus tools. Wish I could afford one, it's a great tool.

Maybe they didn't want to run afoul of Park's stranglehold on the color blue. Which is ********, but what can you do about it?
