Come-n-get-em Free Special

I would like to pass these two on, no interest in packing, and priced to move. FREE.

First up is a Soma Competition, pretty nice frameset. Tange Champion 2 tubing, very nice long point lug work. Some surface rust, not a museum piece. But worth building. Not my size, so time to go. 58 cm ST, c-t-t, 56 cm TT, c-t-c.

Next up is an interesting Sekine. Love the purple color. Cromoly tubing, details not as nice as the SOMA. But I am including the parts in picture. 58cm ST c-t-t, 57cm TT c-t-c.

I don't know exact age, but I am thinking mid 1970s on the Sekai, maybe early 1980s on the SOMA.

Bring your shopping list, as no one has ever left my shop without additional stuff!

I'm a fan of Sekines and I've ended up with two. One is a Sekine SHS 271 (tange chromemoly frame tubing, shimano drop outs), the other a Sekine SHR (chrome moly main triangle) that I recently picked up as a "contestant" in the velo cheapy contest for $20. This bike looks like my SHR but I'm no Sekine expert. This is the thread and my bike which is at the end of the thread is original other than the saddle and consumables,

https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...icycle-24.html

The drop outs do look different though. One oddity about at least some Sekines is that the BB is 70mm.

@bikemig you mention a possibility of a 70mm BB. In such a case does it then require an MTB BB?

That has to be the easiest solution I think: a 73 mm BB with the appropriate spacers.
