15mm to 12mm fork conversion options

I just switched wheelsets on my 2015 Niner RLT9 steel. New wheelset is Bontrager aeolus comp 5.

I was told that because I have a '15 model the fork is 15mm thru axle, which won't fit on the wheel unless I get 15mm end caps or convert the fork to 12mm.

Someone recommended this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/115321133233?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=2jWJ-_jyRe2&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=nNYWh4E8T1m&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

However I'm wondering if there are any cheaper alternatives? I've already sunk a lot of money into repairs and would like to keep costs low.

The 431778 15mm endcap kit is half the price of that thru-axle.

That sounds much better! Where can I pick one up?

Would any of these work?

I think you'd want the endcaps specific to your hubs, no? There are no such things as generic endcap adapters.

The top 10 hits in my Google link are the correct part number.
OP just has to find a store he likes.

Purchase the Trek part number I placed in my 1st post and Google link.
Anything else, you’re on your own. End caps are not standardized for fit.

Barry

EDIT: I've double checked the Spec sheet, and the part number appears to be correct.
>>HERE<< is the link to the Spec, the 15mm end cap is listed in the parts.
