Cycle Ops Fluid Trainer - Thru Axle?
I have a Cycle Ops fluid trainer, which I used last year with my old Specialized mountain bike. The Specialized has a quick release axle, which worked with the trainer.
My Salsa Warbird, has thru-axles.
Is there something I can use do make the Salsa fit on the trainer? (I havea a saved tire to use for winter, and save my new gravel tire(s) recently installed)

I just saw that Wolftooth has through axle caps. I was wondering what they were for. I'm not sure if that would help you, because you still need something for the trainer to grab onto on the handle side.
I should have realized that the Robert Axle project has trainer TAs. https://robertaxleproject.com/wind-trainer/

Thanks, I found Roberts last night. Geesh, $56 for an axle. Maybe I'll just leave the mountain bike on the trainer. I appreciate the link and response!

I saw there is at least one variety on Amazon for $25. But I am not sure if it's the right thread for your dropouts

My Roberts Axle (went with them) will be delivered on Saturday. I ordered a Garmin Cadence meter and might give Zwift a try.
I have a tire to mount for trainer use.
In Maryland, we occasionally get some decent weather days all winter. Can I ride on the road with that thru-axle, or should I put the factory axle back in? I'll keep the tire on, and I guess replace it annually. (I only have one set of wheels)

There is no problem riding that axle on the road. Make sure the cap is on tight or you'll buying another one. Maybe put it on with thread locker

What is the thread? Do you know if this will work on a standard China Rigid fork? Will it use the China axle nut?
I just bought a DT Swiss E-Thru rear, did not come with a nut, but Jensen is supposed to ship another with a nut.... I hope.

I'm not sure it is relevant, but the specs for the axle on my Salsa Warbird is:
172 mm L x 1.5 mm thread pitch
