Hi again. It's been awhile...
11 years, evidently. So - we sold our twin Univega mountain bikes back in 2010 as part of a big downsizing. We've been traveling mostly since then and are officially retired, currently tooling around in an RV. Along with everyone else, evidently. So it's time to get some bikes and ride some more. This time, less jumping over logs and splashing through the mud, more just cruising around on gravel roads, fire roads, etc.
Also, it seems like a *whole* lot has changed in the bike world in the last decade. Styles have multiplied. Disk brakes? CVT??? I'm intrigued.
So - now comes the fun part - familiarizing myself with the myriad options and choosing new bikes and figuring out how to fit them into the back of the CR-V.

Welcome dixonge ! Glad you're getting back into cycling. Supply is generally low right now and has been since we got into the pandemic, but with some patience and attentiveness you should find the right bikes for you without having to pay too much.

Thanks peeps.
Visited a local shop today. *wow* - They said if I ordered a bike from Trek or Specialized that they would arrive in their shop probably NEXT AUGUST....wtf?
Cheapest bike in store was $500. We're such penny-pinchers we'll probably just grab a Schwinn Trailway at Target and upgrade later. Man, I thought the RV industry was backed up!

Welcome Back to Cycling!
You can find some good used bikes on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. But, you have to know what you are looking at and have to move fast if it is a decent price. Most things are overpriced or junk or both. =)

Welcome back! I also used to ride bike during my childhood and bought my last bike about ten years ago, but somehow I stopped. Just resumed earlier this year when I restored my old bike.

Afraid to report this, but we ended up w/ two Schwinn AL Comp's. Inspiration provided by this guy:
