Hello all forum members and many thanks for the wealth of information and wisdom on here (particularly relevant info. from @T-Mar , bianchigirl & styggno1 especially enlightening).
The cycling Gods (praise be upon them) gifted me a rather decent frame by Bianchi, a marque that I much admired in my youth. It had been dumped behind the recycling (no pun intended) bins. Thanks to info. from the above members, not only did I find that it is a pukka Italian built job but a Columbus Max Caurus Proto frame. Yes it has an odd Caurus paint job in black & pearl coral (read sparkly pink) which I hated but am gradually warming to.
Watch out for the, eventual, rebuild!
Cheers.

Sounds like a good frame to bring back to its former glory! Welcome to the forum.

Odd... Every time I think of a Bianchi I see Celeste. I didn't see my first Bianchi bike till 1978. I remember thinking, what a nice colour of green.
But Black an Coral on a Bianchi is good too...
Don't be afraid of starting out with a Franken-Bianchi. It's much easier on the pocket book and gets you ridding sooner...
