I've only just discovered this thread. What a great idea! Thanks, DD!

Of course, it's winter here in MN, and I'm not doing a lot of riding because I injured my knee early in the season; slipped on ice while shoveling snow. But I have a whole bunch of images that I've probably shared elsewhere in C&V Land. Still, some bear reposting, I think.

Like this one of my Pashley Path Racer / Commuter:

The occasional riding shot:

Or shots of others riding (w/shadow):

Stills:

I look forward to getting back out there so I can contribute something fresh. Beautiful work, everyone!

Crickets? Hmmm...

Here's the bike in the last photo, after I restored it:

DQRider, your shots are some of my favourite on the forum. I always look forward to viewing your bicycles. Class by the tonne. How do you find those Schwalbe tires? I have Panaracer col de la vie tires on my Superbe, which give an excellent ride - but I'm thinking of the Schwalbe tires for my reactivation of the '56 Sports I picked up for my lady. It'll see regular commuting / path sort of work, and construction season never lets up here. Lots of little sharp bits around.

The '78 Super Course at Ventura Beach.

It looks better in black and white.

At the coffee stop yesterday.

Thank you for the compliment, Ged117. The Schwalbe Delta Cruiser tires on the DL-1 are merely adequate tires. The tread has a bit of a 'waxy' feel to it, and they are a bit heavier than most of the competition. However, this is an oddball size; 28 inch, or 635mm, so there isn't a lot of choice in the market. For my DL-1, I bought them for the creme color contrast with the black frame and fenders. The creme tires on the Pashley are 700c from Velo Orange, called "Fairweather Touring Cruise", and they ride similar to your Col de la Vies. I have those on my Specialized Sequoia 650b conversion, and love them.

Your lady's Raleigh Sports should take the 26" / 590mm size. I have found a "Cream Tires Directory" on the Lovely Bicycle blog:

https://lovelybike.blogspot.com/2010/...directory.html

That entry was from 2010, so what's available out there has probably changed.

In order to stay with the subject of this thread, here's a nice artsy shot of Jeffrey Bock's amazing hand-built English Roadster from the Lake Pepin 3-speed Tour:

Mr. Bock builds some truly astonishing bicycles. And he makes for great company on a ride.

Thanks, here's the original, I just tweaked it a bit. It was a grab shot, just walking along the sidewalk on a break from the Pasadena Vintage ride last Sunday.

Not artsy, but here's the whole bike.

Another cool detail shot.

More interesting photos on the General Cycling Discussion, under "Bike pic mission" where the mission is to go out each day, and photo your bike with an assigned object. If you win you get to pick the next mission. Kinda fun. No archive shots allowed. Check it out.
