Another Hello from Ontario!

Hello!

I am quite the "newbie" when it comes to biking - I bought myself an inexpensive, second hand bike from the '70s back in the spring (I had a feeling I would want a way to get outside in a socially-distanced way). With minimal repairs, I was able to put in roughly 1000 kilometers of riding over the summer. One day, I biked 150km to Lake Huron and surprised everybody without a single flat tire although there was a small mental breakdown when I had to reroute up the biggest hill I've ever seen.

My bike is in desperate need of some TLC over the winter (I had to order a new tire from the NETHERLANDS because, apparently, old bikes have weird sizing... argh) but I am looking to hopefully get in a multi-day ride in the spring.

Welcome from a fellow Ontarian. Currently living in Oakville but originally from the Elmira area. Years ago, I did some rides from there to Grand Bend, and that was right around 150 km.

Thanks for the welcome - that sounds like quite the adventure! I guess you were thankful for the bike with two dogs hot on your heels!
