Not sure about that, but pretty sure it wasn't the 29th where it was posted from.

How about you assign the same mission, then we can debate who gets the honor as an academic point?
I'm just super-impressed with that find, and think you should get the acknowledgement.

Next Mission Please
Of course it's up toflangehead but I think you won. Extinct was good today, mythical not until tomorrow.
[Regarding timing, I'm not sure how BikeForums handles posting time stamps. My suspicion is that it is recorded in UTC/GMT and then displayed to the reader in their local time zone. On future mr_bill clauses I'll specify poster's local time zone, which seems to me to be the simplest/easiest. We all know subgrade is way out in front of us all but, hey, that's how the world turns...]

theDirtyLemon fulfilled the mission as specified. Dirty, the mission assignment is yours.

How about the mission assigner specify the time zone in the Mr. Bill clause? Puts us all on an equal footing if we use the same time zone.
Congrats, theDirtyLemon !

That's cool. I wasn't 100% sure of exactly what a "cryptip" is so I looked it up. Among other things, it said a "mythical" creature. A dragon is a mythical creature. So I posted it. But if that's not what was meant...go ahead with the next person who fulfilled the mission.

Thanks for being a good sport about it.

Regarding the Smilodon outside McCone Hall at UC Berkeley, thanks for posting! That area of the campus was completely different in the early 1980s when I graduated. The last time I visited the campus was circa 2000.
Regarding the next, mission, do I have this right?
Next Mission: A ghost bike.

You are correct, next mission IS a ghost bike.
(Did they still have the hologram dinosaur skull in the McCone hall lobby?)

Damn, I'm sure I have seen a ghost bike several times somewhere around, quite recently even, but for the life of me I can't remember where exactly. This has been killing me since yesterday, I've even spent some time on Google Street View, scouting out the routes I've taken during the last few weeks... to no avail, thus far.
I even remember that the last time I passed it, I thought to myself - this might be a good idea for a bike pic mission...

Not an official entry.
Seems like the local ghost bikes near me have been removed for whatever reason. Posting this Google maps screen shot as a hint to where one is in Berkeley, CA.

Cary is a friend of friends. I taught my friends’ child soccer, he taught them bikes.
On March 24, 2019, showers ended before dawn and it was the first glorious spring day, hitting 60s but with some gusty winds. Cary headed out for his first ride of 2019 on the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway, heading towards Bedford from his home right off the Minuteman in Arlington center. Early afternoon in Lexington he clipped handlebars with another rider heading in the other direction. They both crashed badly, both were taken to Lahey Hospital. The other rider was released a few days later. Cary didn't make it.
Next Mission: Since it's spring, a garden center

So where we at here. I'm not even sure what a Ghost bike is.... Do those two qualify? Do we need a next mission? Is it raining hard by you guys last few days? My ride last night was about as windy and wet as I've ever ridden in the past year. LOL. I was like wowz.

Roadside Memorials
Roadside memorials, like crosses and ghost bikes, are a reminder of the importance of road safety by all users.
I am posting a thread over at "Advocacy and Safety" with some thoughts about ghost bikes.
I am saying some things that I know will be controversial so please don't hijack this thread; this is not the right place for that discussion. Let's keep this thread positive, fun and entertaining.

So close to San Pablo Ave, but not quite close enough. Lol.[/QUOTE]
The important thing is it's CONCEPTUALLY Emeryville, regardless of what the QUOTE-UNQUOTE "civic authorities" may claim.

My bad, I didn't quote Mr. Bill so he could bless my effort.
Just to clarify, no holiday occuring in the next three months qualifies.
