Do we need a mr_bill clause now? No one seems to be responding at all.

Next mission: Unseasonable greetings-- holiday display for holiday that's more than three months ago or to come.

As of 12:01 a.m. on May 5, 2020, Eastern Daylight time, I will accept Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter displays.

As of 12:01 a.m. on May 6, 2020, EDT, I will accept any permanently affixed sign containing the name of a holiday.

Getting this photo was really tough... and it's not a very good photo. I had to go out at dusk to get these Christmas lights that only come on after dark. When I put my bike up against the fence in front of the house to get a photo up close I had to lift the camera above the top of the fence, which didn't allow me to get the bike in the frame. So I had to step way back. The lights are that little multi-colored strip on the front of the house. You can just make out the silver stem and handlebars of my bike in the foreground. O.K. Maybe you'll have to take my word for it...

Next Mission: A bridge that is accessible to bikes but not to cars.

I can definitely see the handlebars, but being colorblind, I will take your word on the Christmas lights. Good job!

Bridge over the mighty east fork of Grayson creek.

That was too easy. I bounce over those knots nearly every day. Right now the creek is just a damp line.

While I sit here in the deserted park I’ve been bombarded by these little critters. They get on the table and busily go about their business. This picture is not so bad from a regular old iphone 6s.

enjoy no matter what the category!

Not belly laugh funny, but at least amusing.(unless you're a vegetarian, then the pig on the spit might not seem so funny.)
Seen on our morning tandem ride through Marshall, California.

I'll leave it to Joe Bikerider to decide whether these meet his criteria.

Non-Entry: Blue Angels Coronavirus Flyover

This is a non-entry but I got a lucky shot I'd like to share. Though intended to cheer people up, it isn't funny.

The Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds are doing flyovers all over the US to honor health care workers.

My local vulture was trying to keep up.

Gotta have bikes in some photo...

My lucky shot.

Not an entry. There is one submission by obrentharris pending acceptance by Joe Bikerider for:

I choose the crab. You made me happy because in about 1970 I rode through Marshall on my PX10 on one of several tours up there with my friend. Nice to remember, I am still amazed at two trips on sew ups up that way without any issues. We almost burned down Sea Ranch after setting up the stove back from the road and trying to make dinner. Haha. Hope I’m not offending anyone but I guess it’s my choice. Thanks for the memory.

Thanks Joe. I'm glad I could stir up some good memories.

Since I live in the small town of Point Reyes Station I don't get into the big city very often. For the next mission someone show me a big city skyline.

Here's an example of San Francisco from the Marin headlands.

Does this count? I don’t have a Big City in riding distance, so this is the Downtown Napa (pop. 80,000, or one small SF neighborhood) “Skyline.” The tallest building in Napa is in shot here.

No. Sorry and it’s not my call but I got the Idea that it would be harder to satisfy because you would have to find a view to see a big city. Might be harder to do. Nice photoshop though.

Fair enough, knew I was pushing it out there, but it was a lovely morning so thought I’d try.

no photoshop, btw. If I had those skills, don’t you think I’d stick a Skyscraper in there and call it Manhattnapa?

That would be a hoot! Personally I’m trying to arrange a view of the refineries South of the river to get a profile. Maybe a bunch of cat cracker towers would make a nice profile. Regards.

Leinster I guess Napa, at 80,000, is considerably bigger than Point Reyes Station with 800 but not exactly what I had in mind. Very nice photo though. Maybe I hold a grudge against Napa though: I did a seismic retrofit to the Imola Street bridge years ago, then two years later they tore it down and built a new one!

theDirtyLemon I think the rules state that your bike has to be in the photo. Go back tomorrow and get your bike in the photo and you'll get to name the next mission!

I really wanted to do the "Inversion House" but it has been demolished:

Inversion House in Houston (has been demolished).

Last week, I found I had damaged cones on a wheel bearing. Popped over to my local bike shop (LBS) and got what I needed. The guy who helped me said they're really busy.

I think it is time we honor our local support.

Next Mission: Your local bike shop (LBS).
