Where to find cheaper 305/349/451 wheels?
For a project I am working on I need to find somewhere to buy cheaper+smaller bicycle wheels.
Various notes-
...I only want new wheels, not used.
...they can use cheap components, as they won't be under much stress (not used on a bicycle). Generic hubs and bottom-end rims is fine--preferable even.
...the OLD doesn't matter, so they can have either "normal" bike hubs or folding bike hubs in them. The axle type don't matter either (QR or nuts will work).
...I only need one wheel initially, and would prefer a front wheel. I can use rears but they cost more and offer no advantage here, so I'm not really interested in buying front+rear pairs.
The cheapest (single) 305 and 349 wheels I've found were $100+ each.
The cheapest 451's I've found so far online were all up near $200, except one place selling front/rear pairs for $120.
I'd suppose there's places selling cheapo folding bikes, so there must be a source of cheaper wheels.
Thanks for any help.

what can your LBS order for you? did you ask?
you can find cheap 305, BoB Trailers Buy the cheap rims. as do many other folders.
Bike friday will Retail 24 spoke 349 as they use them in Tikit Builds
and 451, that they use in pocket rocket builds
Brompton dealers have replacement 349 28 spoke rims.
then the hub spokes and labor, if not DIY, are acquired,

J&B Importers sells a nice 451 with a Sun rim and a sealed standard cartridge bearing hub cheap but you have to get them through a shop. You can check their web site though. I just got a pair for a Raleigh Twenty and I'll relace the rear to a Nexus 8 speed and still save money. I think the hubs were Bullitproof and the rims were Sun 13 or 14, I don't remember which. If you need quantity PM me and I can introduce you to a shop who will help you out.
