1889 Cross Frame Solid Tire Safety

I volunteer in the Collections Department of Science Museum Oklahoma and I joined The Bike Forums in December 2016 because I was assigned to research and update the text on our bicycle collection. Well...that was put on hold for awhile and just got resurrected. The title of this thread is the name of one bicycle I didn't get done before the "hold". The man who donated the bicycles seems to think that we could find some info about the bike by researching the sprocket, as it is the original. The term "semi-diamond" was also mentioned. The project manager has done some research but hasn't found anything and asked if I would ask the experts - you all! I tried to enclose pictures of the bike and sprocket but I get a notice saying I can't use URLs until I've had 10 posts. I assume that's talking about the photos and my question really needs those photos. Well, I'll try to post this and tI'll appreciate any help you can give me on this antique bike. (or on how you can see the photos.)

Thanks for posting. We'd love to see photos when you can get them posted. While I am sure there are some here who can help, our focus is decidedly more retro and less antique. I recommend you enquire over here:

Good Luck.
