Pacemaker & Heart Rate Monitor

Does a pacemaker interfere with a chest heart rate strap?

I'd expect the only interference might be if the ICD fires. From what I've heard, if that happens, your HRM strap is going to be the least of your concerns.

a pacemaker doesn’t have the defibrillating ability of an ICD.

in either case, no problem to use any kind of heart rate monitor with a pacemaker or ICD.

devices which actively introduce a current into your body, like a body composition scale, are not recommended although i’ve never heard of one creating an actual problem.
