Marin Four Corners 2021
I used to own Four Corners 2018 model, size XL: https://www.marinbikes.com/ww/bikes/2018-four-corners
Anybody owns latest version and can do some comparison if anything has drastically changed ? (according to specifications it still looks pretty mucht the same to me) https://www.marinbikes.com/ww/bikes/2021-four-corners
What I dint like about mine what it was half a size to big for me, I dont really like triple front chainring but most touring bikes do have this, (I wish I could have steel dropbar with compact crankset). And overall geometry is somehow too much laidback, so it feels like clumsy, hard to describe really.

Given that you know the dimensions of the bike that was too big for you, and the stem length and dropbar dimensions, you have the best info to get a bike that will fit you much better.
As for not liking triples, well my friend, you are in luck as you will find a whole slew of double crank bikes out there that should tickle your fancy.
As for how a bike rides, well, you're just going to have to get out there in real life and test ride bikes.
but totally seriously, you'll find numerous options out there now. Probably tricky with supply, but as kojak would say, that's life in a global pandemic baby!
(if too young, call your mom or dad to ask about Kojak)

There might be but bikes have gotten quite expensive these days. Finding an all out touring bike for ~ 1000 usd / eur is not what it used to be. I am from EU.
Few examples:

...or a steel gravel bike since many come with a 2x gravel/subcompact crank. Fairlight Secan or Fairlight Faran for example, since you are in the EU(and I have a Secan). The Faran has a steel fork instead of carbon, which may be what you are after since that is whats on the 4Corners.

I will look at Kona, but according to their webpage, largest frame is 58 (not sure why Kona's have gotten so small over time). Last time I had Kona was long time ago.
