Brake Noodle Modification ?

So just back from a 1800 mile tour with my wife. She rides a Dutch step through touring frameset. One thing I see that I would like to modify is how far out the rear brake noodle projects.
Has anyone shortened up/or changed the bend?
Tell me more!
Thanks!

They do come in different degrees of bend.

The noodles are available in a variety of configurations. I suspect trying to reshape your current noodle might crimp the lumen and cause the cable to bind.

Upvote for use of "lumen".

you could try bending it over a small pulley of some sort. the pulley trough would need to be the same size or slightly bigger than the outside diameter of the noodle. use some pliers to stabilize the noodle in the pulley and some others to actually bend it. shouldn't take much effort to bend it. and, if you fudge it up, you can always get another one as was your other option anyway

otoh, maybe an auto parts store has a fuel/brake line bender you can rent/borrow

I found a tube bender in the basement but it it too big. So I thought I would heat it up with my oxy-propane torch. Too hot it melted!
I work part time in a bike shop so I will grab another noodle and try it with less heat maybe just propane.
Saw the selection that Jagwire offers but no go.

Can you post a picture of the current configuration on the bike and the desired cable path? Perhaps that will spark some other suggestions.
