Oh, @nlerner, you are such a bad influence. But I already have one!! I don't think I need another. I will mention it to the Cambridge Vitus Club and see if anyone knows someone we could rope in. On a related note, if anyone living in the Boston area buys this, they can be inducted into the Cambridge Vitus Club.
This does look like a nice example, provided the seat binder ears aren't cracked. I guess that happened to enough of the ones with a pinch bolt that they switched to a grub screw later on.
It is quite a fair price for what it is!! Good luck with sale!!

Depends on your riding style. My friend and co-founder Kevin claims he's 195lb and he likes his just fine. He uses a pretty high cadence, which probably favors him to a more flexible frame. I'm 165lb and I think they're fine also, but I have a slow cadence and use Biopace rings, for what it's worth.

My 979 is a 58cm and I at 190# can tell you I rotate through some very nice frames and the 979 has superb dampening qualities on bad road surfaces even with 23mm and the stock AL fork. When younger while far from a powerhouse like Sean Kelly and now 70, BB flexing is/was never a worry even on a serious incline. They polish up really nice.

Not sure if it’s location or Vitus in general or both. I’ve had my Chorus built 979 listed locally forever with no interest. At a great price to boot!
