Saddle Sore Doctor
I have a lump well below the skin along my ischial tuberosity.
Not a pimple; more like an abcess.
Been there quite a while, but not going away, whether I have been riding or not.
Uncomfortable but not super painful.
What doctor of specialist deals with that sort of thing??

If a dermatologist doesn't fix it, a surgeon might.
Plastic surgeons deal with repairing skin. Just trying to imagine how my plastic surgeon would respond to a question like that...

When I feel any nagging discomfort I'll swap shorts/bibs for different pads, maybe swap saddles, check my bike fit, etc. Usually helps. Minor changes often relieve sit-area discomfort for me before it gets serious.
Moleskin can be cut to fit around a lump to reduce pressure directly on the lump. Some people apply it directly over an affected area to reduce friction or add padding. Other folks cut out a hole just large enough to clear the lump or affected area, so the affected area is exposed but the moleskin relieves some pressure.
Also, long soaks in a warm bath with Epsom salts may help. I do that anytime I feel a hint of a rash or discomfort that feels like early stage bruising. Seems to help.
If it's an ingrown hair, or clogged hair follicle or oil gland, you may need to see a dermatologist.

Infected hair follicle, perhaps? A GP should be able to deal with it, or at a minimum refer you to a specialist who can do so.

Seems to me that I have had this thing for several years.
Sometimes it is hardly noticeable; other times downright uncomfortable. (Today was one of THOSE days...)
I have used DZNutz for years; that has not changed.
The lump is well below the skin, and seems to be moveable, but not readily.
It is not attached to the bone.
I may seek out a sports doctor who is familiar with cycling.
I have used SMP Extra saddles for over 10 years, and have always found then to be comfy with nothing going to sleep.......

I had the ingrown hair,Folicalitis, that I ended up going to a surgeon. He landed it and put me on antibiotics.
Still have a bit of a scar.
Get it checked out.

I'm having a tough time figuring this thing out.
After some rides the lump is quite pronounced; after others, not so much.
Seems to depend on what shorts I wear.
Dunno..........

Yup. Also might depend on which cream you use. I like Lantiseptic,, Bag Balm, Qoleum QM. You can also rub hydrocortisone 1% (OTC) cream into it morning and evening.

Had a lump near the rectum, that I noticed showering 7 years ago. My GI doc prescribed Cipro, and it went away soon after. It appeared again last year. This time they sent me to a surgeon for evaluation. He drained it (I and D), and said it might be a small gland that gets blocked. No drugs. The doc said it may return, and he could go back in, and address the glands, if needed. The Cipro created lasting problems, addressed in another thread.

Same here. Saw a dermatologist today. Seemed to know his business. He injected some steroid right into the sore and said that'll take it down in maybe 2 days. He also said to only put zinc oxide ointment on it, and it keep it on there all day and night, reapplying after toilet, etc. He wrote a script for the ointment so my insurance would pay. I have a followup in 2 weeks. If it's not gone, he'll give it a heftier dose of steroid. He says it probably started as a cyst and has just become inflamed. He seemed very optimistic that he could fix it. He said it's only on one side because that's where the cyst developed.

OP: Some dermatologists are also plastic surgeons.
Sounds as if an evaluation by a physician is in order.
