I’m not local, but Oregon is close enough to make the drive. I’m bidding on the red Super Record Export.

Speaking of Goodwill -- and until recently, that wasn't even on my radar...

This Miyata 210 Mixte is on offer in Indy for $35 buy-it-now. That could be a pretty sweet running-around bike.

So, in how much poor taste would it be for another BF member to win the auction and then ask for facilitation? Asking for a friend

I'm guessing it depends on the quality of the bike and how bad you want it. Have you ever taken a bite out of a persimmon?

Listed 22hrs ago, basically F&F with a few parts so might not sell right away. Seller says 64cm so more probably 25in/63cm

https://baltimore.craigslist.org/bik...431492646.html
Vintage steel Raleigh Super Course. Reynolds double butted 531 chrome alloy frame. 27" aluminum wheels. Bike is rideable as is....but it needs cleaning and routine maintenance. Front derailer and downtube lever missing. Frame is clearly for a tall rider. 64 cm. Standover height is 35 1/2". I'm 6' 1" and I rode it it comfortably for many years....but perhaps my legs are long for my height.

$50 Obo.

Not exactly a screaming deal but it seems like Peugeot Super Competitions are popping up less often.
Now that this bike is down to $200, it is a good deal even with the suicide levers.

FWIW I happen to be one of the product development team that worked on this ZH2B model line with KHS Bicycles. That included Lennard Zinn, Steve Hed (RIP) and aero guru Boone Lennon. I have been a long time lurker on the forum and thought I registered years ago but was of course unable to locate my login information. Probably a long since deleted email anyway - Hotmail anyone? LOL Anyway I just wanted to offer any assistance on the forum I could regarding these incredibly unique and somewhat limited aero bikes.

Hmm not sure on lengthy stories. I will share that Steve and Boone were in the wind tunnel for days and a lot of the R&D incorporated HED wheels and Aero Bars. Steve and I spent a lot of time discussing drag coefficients and different yaw angles. I always found the depth of his understanding of aero fascinating. These designs were quite advanced in there day! The ZH2B name was my suggestion when we were struggling with a aero model name that hadnt been used already. I felt due to the complexity and investment all the Team made in development it was justified to honor all of them in the model name. If most people didnt understand clearly the (H) is squared (2). The big secret mystery H other than Steve Hed is Wen Hsieh the president of KHS who signed off on the project and funded all of the R&D for the entire team. he never likes to be publicly recognized for these things so his name is left off most all of the publicity materials for the bikes. Also I wanted to add that Lennard Zinn hand built a limited run of "pro" model framesets using much more extreme version aero bladed tubes built in his Boulder workshop - gorgeous frames in metallic red with white graphics. I think they were made from Easton Aluminum bladed tubes and MSRP around $1800.

You should start a new thread to share your stories on these curve seat tube beauties. I really hope to get my hands on one of these.
