Sherwin Williams Automotive lists the chip number for Ballistic Blue as PCRS32.
See if these guys can get you the formula: https://www.sw-rodandrestocustomcolo...nd-your-color/

Wal-Mart sells the base coat aerosol: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rod-Resto...osol/278742861

The odds that this is the same color are nearly zero.

It's a start. Lots of bike paint and powdercoat colors use the same names, RAL numbers, and color codes as automotive and other industries.

After a number of years of UV exposure a color and any cleat coat can (and often) will shift it's color from the OEM tint. So for touch up work a different "color" will better match the aged OEM one. For a full repaint this isn't an issue but a primer or base coat's color still is a point to also match up with the factory job. There are others (more often in the frame building subs) that might give more detailed advice. Andy

What size area are you trying to paint? Is this just for a few minor chips or larger areas? Little chips can be matched by mixing paints from a hobby store (fuel resistant types will last longer), nail polish, auto touch up paints, etc.

Thanks for all the good advice I will check the paint at Walmart. The bike needs a lot of touch ups and the complete bottom of the bottom bracket needs repainting.
