I once had a Tecnos, I loved her dearly. Like a knucklehead... I sold her.

This is a long thread so i might have posted mine before -- IT was purchased from another forum member who restored it lovingly perhaps 6 years ago?

Sadly i stalled out on it at that rear cassette - I dont like corn on the cob and just havent made sourcing one with broader gears a priority, but i should get it out and let it enjoy the sunlight again soon -----

I dont spend a ton of time riding road anymore -- mostly i hit the mountain bike trails - and the rare occasion i do spin some road miles, i usually just grab my dirty Litespeed which is always by the door in my garage like a faithful partner --- but as mentioned - i should get this one outside soon

This Colnago Classic turned out pretty good, a few surprises after I got it home. Woke up early Friday morning to drive 2 hours to get batteries for our golf cart. While waiting for my wife I clicked on Marketplace. This Colnago was listed at a price so low I thought it was a scam. I ignored it for about 20 seconds and went back to it. I went ahead and sent a message, 5 minutes later I got a reply saying it was her dads and she gave me a phone number. I talked to the seller and he confirmed he had it and I was the only caller. Once I got there I asked about the low price, he told me he got a good deal and couldn’t ride it anymore due to health. While stripping it down, the seat binder bolt was stripped and had to be cut out. One water bottle cage bolt was stripped at the Allen key head and took some work to remove. Last but not least the drive side dropout was bent at the opening. I used a 1” box end wrench to slowly bend it back resulting in getting the wrench stuck and had to cut the wrench off. After aligning the dropout and derailleur hanger I finished the bike. I listed the bike for sale, not really wanting to keep it. Until I rode it, I quickly changed my mind.

1972 Colnago Super, unrestored original paint show bike with chrome lugs, milled stem and Merckx-style drilled chainring. This was the precursor to what became pantografata.

‘03 Master Extra Light / Art Decor, before I switched in the Precisa fork. Double century bike, even on that carbon ass hatchet.

‘85 Super. Refined ride.
