Just for the fun of it, post photos of your race bike(s). I don't have any OCP-quality shots of mine.

Ritchey WSC ProLogic w/WSC stem. For years I've run Deda Newton bar/stem but the reach on the Ritchey bars was less so I was able to lose a 5mm spacer on my stack height and keep the same reach while in the drops. I also like the anatomical shape better.

Here is something that is completely irrational. I really love the way the Specialized SL's look. I think they are one of the best looking bikes on the market. However I doubt that I'd ever own one. Same thing with Giant. I guess it's because both of these company's used to be entry level and I've got this irrational bias.

Nope, they're debadged AC 420's with aero spokes. I like them for an all around wheel, but I don't really like how they brake on fast descents. They have have pretty thin rim walls, and pulsate pretty badly under heavy braking.

Ah got it. The thin rim walls scared me away from the Vigors.

It seems that none of the racers are very good OCP photographers, myself included.

The cranks have been replaced with '07 Chorus Ultra Torque.

At one point I was getting gapped a bit: 5 miles from the finish I turned around and saw what I assumed was the 'rest of the ride' 50 meters behind me and decided to drop back to them, that would be easier, it would all come together. Bad move. It was two guys. The entire back half of the Nyack ride was gone: not 500 meters behind the leaders gone, but gone as in beamed-up, vaporized, dropped-so-bad-they're-out-of-sight gone. And this happened over a 3 mile stretch of the ride. Oh well : ).

That ride is big fun. I'll go back Sunday and get spanked some more. Please sir may I have another?

Look at that drop between the nose of the seat and the handlebars. Do KP's ears pop when he goes into the drops from the altitude change?

I'm coming down again this weekend, and I'm bringing a friend from team Sakonet. I've actually been riding this week, so I might be able to do more than simply hang on in the chase group.

See you there patentcad
