Memories of a Carfree Halloween

It just so happens this is the 25th anniversary of the legendary 1991 Halloween Blizzard in Minneapolis.

Well, when I woke up to 20+ inches of snow the next morning, neither my car - nor anyone else's - was going anywhere!
Could you bike in it ?

!
It is 43 years since the 1973–1974 Oil Embargo when OPEC decided to punish the US during the 1973 Arab-Israeli War. My Volkswagen burned up on the freeway and all I had was a 500cc Suzuki with a small gas tank that I could only refill every other day and needed mostly for a commute from my apartment and day job to night classes at a state university ~18 freeway miles away. That was the longest, coldest and probably most dangerous, car and beach-free winter of my life.
