Although not a bike, I also regret selling my Tanjor Aero trailer at times. I ised it so sparingly in recent years, though, that selling it to someone who’d haul kids seemed like the right thing to do. The Tanjor gave my kids a lot of joy in addition to the utility it provided, but it was just so cool and a pleasure to use.

The Fat Chance. Mine is from 1996, but my parents recently moved and found a treasure trove of pics they gave me. I guess the fact that this made the cut for being scanned shows how much I miss it!

The On-One 456 was in production for several years, but the "Summer Season" was only a limited run; the most noticeable feature was a rather slack headtube: somewhere around 66 or 67° with just a 100mm fork. It was my only trail bike for years. When I eventually added a 29er to the stable, it was relegated to commuting duties. After awhile, I never saw myself going back to a 26'' wheelset, and now, I'll probably never get the chance.

I miss a few, sorry no pics, this was 20+ years ago.
1. I had a ProFlex 855 that I bought new. It wasn’t a good bike but throughout high school I got it professionally repainted gloss black. Sachs New Success rear derailleur and XT front. Avid tri-align brakes, Coda cranks, a Manitou 4 with the steel spring kit. Replaced the rear rubber shock with a Noleen. I had Nukeproof hubs/ti dye spoke/Mavic 517 rims I built while watching John Elway win the Super Bowl.
It was the definition of lipstick on a pig. It still wasn’t a good bike. I’d love to have it back, those were formative years.
2. My next bike, the Zaskar LE was amazing, I rode it everywhere, it was pretty cool but I don’t really miss it. I stumbled from this bike into a pristine Xizang… right about when I transitioned to road. Wish I still had it.
3. My Voodoo Wazoo gravel cross bike. I had some serious fun on that thing. I think the new owner is still loving it

rosefarts I share some of that background in that I had an 854 and a Karakoram K2. The lipsticked pig for me was the Karakoram, though, because I hated the Pro Flex and moved it out quickly. The K2 I bought new in ‘89, and went through everything from adding a Tange Shockblade to drillium. I built my first wheelset for that bike, and installed a Ti bottom bracket spindle. Maybe “pig” is too harsh, but it was definitely more battle axe than saber. Still, I’d love to take a spin on it for old times’ sake.

I didn’t think that I had sold my very complete Cannondale Black Lightning…I didn’t see it as I cleaned out the Cape house…then; vague memories of the top tube paint bubbling and the cable guides rusting…maybe an indoor trainer bicycle…
I see a fair amount of larger and smaller bills going into my outstretched palm. Ok. Definitely not stolen! Still miss it!
