Giuseppe Bianchi Bike ID?

Hi all,

Has anyone heard of Giuseppe Bianchi bikes? What's the story there? I'm looking into this bike here and was wondering if anyone could educate me. Thanks in advance!

Mid 70's low end model still a pretty nice bike considering condition the price is a bit high. If buying and you have to ask maybe just pass on this one you should be able to find something better in the 200-300 CAD price range.

the forum has had threads discussing examples of this marque

this is the name of a retail shop located in Firenze and the cycles bearing it are contract produced

the subject machine looks like it might be a two down from the top sort of model (or a two up from the bottom )

date appears it could be ~1974 or close thereto

from what we have seen there may have been more than one manufacturer for them

at least some were done by Cesare Rizzato (Atala, Atlantica, Lygie, Maino, Radio, etc)

above example dated 1970

just to add to the confusion there is also a Sergio Bianchi bike shop and marque! AND it is also located in Firenze:

if you elect to purchase the cycle you could return and post some additional pictures

readers are likely to be able to identify the actual manufacturer

suspect it may be a bicycle brought back by a traveler or military person

looks to be a good value from here, my two lira
