Gifted with a mystery Motobecane
Was chatting with a customer on the job as he admired my Alan/Gurt on display when he said he had an old bike of his in the attic and did I want it. I said sure, thinking of a bike boom pug, Raleigh, or Free Spirit.
Can't decide if it's an upgraded Grand Jubliee or a Grand Record with the Jubliee bits added. I've been chasing them for years to put on my GJ.
The levers match the calipers.
Luxe hubs with Simplex skewers.
Will gladly swap these for the proper Jubliee DT shifters.
I think I did OK on this one......

This is a heck of a nice freebie with a lot of great parts. That frame is too large for you, right? Is that a chromed fork?
My 70s era Moto GR came stock with a TA crank but no jubilee bits. The brakes at least are after market.

Normandy Comp hubs, TA crank, Atom 700 pedals all match the 74/75 GR spec, are the dropouts Huret or Campagnolo, Huret were spec'ed on the Jubilee.

That looks nice! I don't know which model it is. I like the components on it right down to the tire cleaners. With the lug work and the fork crown, it has to be a upper end Motobecane.

the Normandy Luxe Competition model hubs of 1974/1975 have red foil labels and red plastic dustcaps
the final year for the generation on the subject bicycle was 1972
the Juy skewers on the bicycle were last current in 1971. production of the model ceased at that time but a few 1972 model year bicycles did come through wearing them - using up existing stock.
dropouts appear to be Freres Huret
the thread for their adjustment screws is 3.0mm X .6 rather than the more commonly encounterred 3.0mm X .5
cycle appears to have commenced life as as GJ

The OP's bike is one of my favorites, a Motobecane Grand Record. Really nice find and, for what it is worth, mine was in original condition and sported Dura Ace brakes also. Sorry, I no longer have pictures of that wonderful bike.

Stamped front dropouts and the silver/red paint scheme would suggest Grand Jubile. Either way, nice bike.
