A pair of Mapeiís ?

My wife and I have decided to part with our Mapeiís as we simply donít ride them. We both have other bikes we prefer and itís a shame to see them being ignored. Hers is around Ď97-98í 53cm with the anniversary Dura Ace groupset as was used by Team Mapei at one time I understand. Mine is a bit newer perhaps 2000 55-56cm with Record 10. Both bikes are in really quite beautiful condition. I can provide more details or pics if it helps determine value.
Mine looks a bit blue-ish in the photo, itís just the lighting.
Thanks !

Very nice pair !

Those look to be the alloy framed "Dream" model with Mapei paint. - 12-1500$ for either one - without the paint id guess 1k - 1200 max

One of the few aluminum framesets that carries value

Hey, I have the matching Mapei computer in my parts stash. I should buy the 56cm just cause it matches, LOL! That said, I see the value at around $100, let's talk!

LOL, totally kidding, I'm not an expert on these but they do seem desirable and I would expect them to draw over $1000. I picked up both a Klein and a Cannodale last year but they were relatively cheap.

Nice bike set.

In the past I haven't seen a lot of love for the Aluminum Colnago bikes.

I'd put them down in the $1000 EACH range.

But, look up the value of the groupsets. I'm not familiar with the Dura Ace Anniversary set. I know that the Colnago 50th set is just BONKERS.

I've been curious and have been trying to figure an actual value with no real luck. Seems a decent draw to steel and C.F versions but no much for the aluminum. Real cool looking but have no clue as to real value. Do they ride harsh since you say they don't get used much? Curious because I love the ride of my Klein and the 684 I sold today but while the Cannondale is blast I wouldn't call if a comfortable ride.

The beautiful Klein was only a few hundred with a Campagnolo 10 speed/Kyserium SCC SL wheel build so maybe a Colnago would draw closer to $1000?

I think the value is higher. And if you go to the trouble of parting out, that will maximize value, but added headache. Sold locally could cap the value. Packing and shipping bikes is a PITA. And for overseas shipment, more so.

If you have any matching stuff, like apparel, even more value.

And any on line payments mean income taxes in 2022. Reporting starts at $600. And its $600 gross transaction. So a bike sold for $450 with $150 shipping, you will get a 1099. Not the end of the world, but a consideration versus local buyer.

Yes, parting out has several advantages. Plus you will get more. Secondly, packing is easier. Third, parts have their own following, separate from complete bike. Fourth, if you sell it complete (for less), don't be surprised to see the buyer turn around and part it out. I've seen it on bikes I sold whole. Buyer told me: "I really want this bike." Turned out what he meant was "I really want to part out your bike."

Definitely interested in this one if you still have it. I'm 5'8" so should be the right size.

Would you be interested in parting with the computer? I've a Colnago Titanio Mapei Edition with very lonely handlebars.
