Orbea gain d50
Morning from the UK.
I have just, bought an orbea gain d50, it has claris 8 speed on it that I'd like to change.
I'm interested in the sram, etap or ultegra di2. But try as I may, I can't find much info on things like which size cassette will fit or do I need to change the chainset etc. Orbea aren't much help, so was hoping someone here may have done it or have some advice
Also, which wheels, am, I, able to upgrade to.
Should I change the tyres to clincher
It has, disc brakes, can I use the existing wires if I upgrade the shifters
Etc etc
Thanks, all

Rethink this. You'd have to change EVERYTHING. Is this bike a rear wheel motor? If so it's not possible, as far as I know, to convert to XDR. Maybe Shimano 11, depends on the wheel. I think you'd need a new rear wheel no matter what you do. You could keep the brakes, but if you're going to top level shifting components why keep mechanical brakes? This 'upgrade' makes no sense.

I wouldn't put the money towards it. If you want higher end shifting you are better off getting a bike that comes with it already. Claris is a small notch about their lowest end groups Tourney and really isn't worth much upgrading it is designed to hit a price point. If you are looking for an e-road bike maybe take a look at the Specialized Creo SL which can be had in Di2 and AXS and features a better mid-drive motor vs. an old school hub drive which adds rotational weight. You could also look at bikes equipped with the Fazua motors and those might get you better kit as well and are removable which is neat.
