You're welcome! I've actually used it myself, which has been nice. I'll have to track down further scans and upload them or figure out some way of hosting things if I want us to have more catalogs as resources.

Thank you!

This is a GREAT initiative - thank you so much! Might you consider adding Araya? (Early 1970s)

Thank you! The site is 'not secure' (http vs https) so the linking from Bike Forums will be met with a "not secure" page (I had this problem early on, and only when the host/owner of the site antes up the modest cost to get that 's', then it will forever be a broken link). I will put a search term ("gitane usa") to use and spell out the decade delineations that the site uses (no individual years as the put multiple years on a single page).

Thank you! Do you have a catalog link for their bicycle offerings? This is not a component manufacturer thread, just a bicycle manufacturer/seller thread. A component catalog thread can be for another time and another member, for now.

Well, technically, at least one of the Cinelli catalogs you posted is just components.

Speaking of Cinelli, a ton of catalogs here, including lots of bikes - https://www.cinellivintage.it/catalogues?lang=en

Updated. Links take one directly to online-hosted PDFs. Great scans (aka hi-res), so don't worry if it loads more slowly than normal. It means you can zoom in!

Sorry to say, no 1939 Frejus catalog to add to the list. Final price was a skosh over 140 euro. Pretty much 3 times more than I wanted to pay.

Not a problem. I don't think anyone should go into debt to source a catalog, as interesting and beneficial it may be. 140 Euro is enough to buy a bike, let alone some pieces of paper!

Help with serial

If a have only this number R 900504167 on the frame and nothing else it means that’s a Raleigh?

I have reader this post :

Sample number: R 003310123 A

  • R (all)
  • Digits 1 & 5 are year. Sample is from 2001
  • Digits 2,3,4 are day (001-365). Sample is from February 2
  • Digits 6-9 are sequential. Sample is the 123rd bike built that shift.
  • A = morning shift B= evening shift. Sample is morning shift.
Letter code may or may not be present, depending on production schedule.

@eirini13 I am unable to answer the question as 1) I have no Raleigh serial number knowledge and 2) that is not the point of this thread. If you can work your post count up to 10, then you can post pictures of your mystery bike or start a thread (I forget the minimum post count number to be able to do that). There are many knowledgeable people here, including many Raleigh enthusiasts. We'd be happy to help you out.

Used to have a Klein Pinnacle Silver. And found it in the 1992 catalogue.

Mizutani, PNW marque sold by Life Cycles in the 70's, going to dig out the brochure, seems like C.Itoh is on it.

This is nice bike of vintage bike cataloge but I can find my newly purchased Cavalera bike here. I can’t get info all over internet. It’s got Columbus Squadra Corse decal on it’s frame. Made from Italy.

@reoc01 you are at 10 posts now, which means you can post pictures of your bike in a new thread (but not this one) that you start. That can help you find more information on it as there are likely many knowledgeable people that know Cavalera bikes.

Hi unfortunately I don't have a link for you.
But there is a manufacturer/maker of a bike that I've got here in the UK called Winchester and its known in the USA.
But alas I have no other info other than that 😕

Are you interested in members directly uploading catalog scans of items/marques not included above?

Are you talking about image scans being posted to this thread? Or uploading to a website or photo hosting site and then linking to them from here?
