5 of us avoided the club again and did our own ride of about 60 miles. It wasn't too hot but one friend was suffering a bit. He hasn't been riding enough and his old back injury flared up. They wanted to stop at a barbecue place before the last climbs,, so we did. Friend called for an Uber because his back hurt so much and the rest of us climbed in the heat with bellies full of BBQ!

Since I've been riding afternoons, when there is little traffic but more heat, I mounted a second bottle cage on each bike. On the handlebar. I don't much like carrying the pump on the top tube.
