I don't need this bike. Change my mind.
It's a Bridgestone XO-2, close enough to my size, mostly original, with newer tires and Kool Stop pads, $100. But it's a project; there's rust EVERYWHERE; it's mostly light surface rust, but it's all over the paint (it looks like a brindled dog) and everything but the aluminum, the ss spokes, and the plastic dork disk. Seller is second owner.
I have project bikes; three, to be exact, in addition to the two I already ride. I don't need yet another project. But it's a Bridgestone XO-2. But I have enough bikes.
So, I come to this den of dirty rotten enablers to tell me I need another bike.

I think your prices are from the Before Times; these days $100 for a nice steel bike that runs is excellent. And Bridgestones are iconic, especially one down from the top of their line.

No quibble about price...$100 for a Bridgestone reminds of the Ikea "Start the Car!' ad. It's value as a useful bike is 100% intact. It's just for you to decide how much you want to alter it.

But do they make them smaller? Anyway doesn't Riv recommend larger sizes? You can always buy it and if you don't like it you can move it on. If you don't buy it then you'll never know.

Thumb shifters of the design that can be rebuilt and used again, and a nice group on it. I would recommend putting it aside and let it ferment for a while. If you choose to repaint it a good PC would bring it back to new condition. Give it some time and see if it grows on ya. Enabler, MH

Have fun with your projects, but be aware of how many projects are stacking up and waiting for attention.
I have to actively say no to new projects because there are already a bunch waiting for attention and new problems/projects pop up from external sources. Honestly, it can be frustrating to see the various items that need some (or a lot of) work.
On the other hand, I did make time to get out and put 70 miles on the bike today.
Gotta have priorities.
