Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

46 miles today, weather man may have "slightly" dropped the ball. Was warm with a light breeze at beginning, was cold raining with a strong headwind mid way through, then back to warm and a light breeze at the end. Of course it had to be cold, raining with the headwind when climbing.

Should I get a longer stem? I hear the length doesn't matter, it's the motion in the ocean.

Will a longer stem hinder or facilitate the John stops.

What wheelset should I get to facilitate my stem length, John stops, and VO2 max? These are vital questions for a roadie.

Good day here in Pa. But cool for late May. Current temp is 49F. Going to need my tights and long sleeve jersey. The biker tan lines will have to wait a little longer.
