Yes. PRobably at the top end for this one, but its clean and the Suntour/ Dia Compe components are certainly compelling

Probably. Myself, I avoid twist grip shifters and that era Suntour derailleurs. So I would pass. You have posted better. Time to decide.

IMO, yes. Suntour indexing is less precise than Shimano. Pre-indexing era, Suntour was the BEST. I love them. They missed the boat on indexing, and shortly after, they went bankrupt.

Dont you guys love it when the sellers don’t clean up the yard at all before rolling out stuff to take pictures for sale?

The miscellaneous child’s toys, old cast off scooters and car seats Just stored out in the flower bed make a statement in this one

People saying this isn't worth $150? Really.

And make sure your yard is quaffed sellers......although the bike looks just about perfect.

Now I remember why I have stayed away from this sub forum.......

I did not say this bike was not worth $150. The OP has posted several bikes, some were better than this one. Its decision time.

I didn't think you did.

Some of the silliness in this sub forum does proceed itself though.

well the previous bikes I have posted have either been sold or I have been recommended not to buy them, this one is pretty close to my area so I think I have a better chance at it. I just want to make sure I spend $150 wisely for a decent bike I guess. I appreciate the replies though!!

picking up the old car seats and kids strollers and taking them to the dump is hardly a quaffed yard. In some cases somebody whose personal life is in such disarray may be the type to take a low ball offer to get it out of their hair

but yes, a crappy yard on display is the subtle earmark of a slob

Wow -- that yard is hardly in disarray. In the background I see two older kids ride-on toys -- perhaps they are being used by kids? My wonderful neighbors have young kids and toys bought from yard sales -- functional and fine. If you think that's a "crappy yard" that demonstrates a "personal life in such disarray" i'm guessing you do not live in a neighborhood with working-class folks who don't have gardeners.

The bike itself is very clean, well displayed, and, IMHO, worth the asking price -- it does not look like the consumables are perished, and it likely is ride-ready. Perhaps a bottom-feeder might expect to pay less, but that's not out of line at all. As the Op has missed out on others and this one is close by, I'd say go take a look, ride it, and if it fits and works well offer $125, but be happy if they stay firm at $150.

You might even meet the kids who ride those toys left in the yard! Bonus days!

+1 The bike does look to be in riding shape with nice basically new tires which is a big plus with the current cost availability of tires and tubes $75-100 for nicer set of tubes tires for 26" MTB.
