Good Morning and welcome to the forums. Is there a label like Schwinn, Hercules, Robinhood or Raleigh on it anywhere?

Sadly with few exceptions most in a 3spd is as a rider.

Usually there is a headbadge right on the front of the bike

I think it might be a Raleigh Superbe, but I'm no expert on these. It doesn't look too bad but looks like it needs some TLC. The rod operated brakes are pretty cool. I think aside from condition 3spd values really depend on location. They can be really useful bikes in the city, especially flat ones, but not so much in rural areas.

If you in a place like San Francisco or NCY I'd try putting it on craigslist for $150 and see if you get any bites. What all the material on the back?

Yes, it could very well be a Raleigh Superbe step-through. Here's a pic of a vintage Superbe I found. Not all original it appears.

For what it's worth, there is a "new" Raleigh Superbe on the market. Looks sweet! There's an eBike version also.

You might try to list it for 100 pounds and then see what happens. The "problem" with older bikes like that is they aren't exactly rare and they will require a lot of work usually, to get them road worthy. Once spruced up it would be a fun "around town" bike.

thats a tough sell in the UK, all bikes are significantly cheaper than in the US, good luck if someone offers you a 100 quid id take it.

Very nice classic 3 speed yet as said in the UK these are very common and there even somewhat common in the US Raliegh made at least several 100,000 of this model with a production run from the mid 30's to the early 80's and about half seem o be in running order. So as said one in rough but good working order about 100 pounds and only 200-300 for a very nice older example in great basically original condition. You can tell the age by the digit date code on the center of the rear hub.

Thank you for your help. The code I can find is 244951 - might that mean something?
