Portland Bike Driveway Sale Saturday
Hello locals of Portland. Hosting a driveway sale of bike parts, frames and bikes this Saturday from 8am to 10 or 11am at my abode. Lots of vintage stuff, some more modern stuff. A Bob Jackson, Klein Quantum Pro. Campagnolo, Cinelli, Shimano, tools, parts n such. For anyone who has been at one of these in the past, know my prices are very reasonable with some exceptions of more precious stuff. It's a hobby, not a money maker. Also featuring remaining bike-related things from an estate that my good friend has taken on from the widow. Couple pics so you get the idea, and a link to the craigslist ad.
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...484449919.html
Custom frame by former Eugene, Oregon builder Calvert, who now lives in Grants Pass and rides sometimes with George Mount.
Small sample of stuff on offer.

i love these bikes sales you've had in the past. i'll be there right before or right at opening time (8am) going try and snag those nitto handlebars (i think they're noodle 177) if they're 44 - 46cm they'll be perfect for a bike project

I'm slightly irked that it ends at 10 or 11. I wanted to sleep in.
I'll be hanging out with my grandson anyway and so won't be able to make it. I've got to talk to my daughter about finding another babysitter. Her working Saturdays is cutting into my bike parts and tools buying time.
Good luck with the sale!

VR, is there any way for me to maybe purchase the brown or copper Silca pump? It may be a close match to the brown of my Italvega Suoer Speciale’s color. Any history behind the pump? My brother in law Ben lives nearby at Rex and 29th so could facilitate shipping it to me. I’ll PM you.

I wonder if a Portland driveway would be an upgrade over my Boston driveway.

^^^^^ not sure if it is an upgrade to your Boston driveway but if it holds more than fifteen bikes it may be worth checking out! Mine tops out at about fourteen bikes so I won’t make the trip from Southern California although a Bob Jackson in my size is very tempting.

Big thanks to all who did come. Lots of fun conversation, re-acquainting with past visitors to these sales, friends came over, coffee and treats were served. Some interesting bikes ridden over by visitors - 60's Paramount track bike, really nicely kitted red Rivendell Quickbeam (can you say Berthoud and Schmidt?!), vintage StumpJumper (missing seat post and Brooks saddle that got stolen last night - young dude rode over hoping for replacements, alas we felt bad not having any), woman rode over the most heavily equipped Surley Long Haul Trucker I've ever seen. While I'm super glad to have traded many pounds of metal for a wad of paper, the social aspect was most rewarding. Who knew, a neighbor that we see walking every day revealed he has 2 Paramounts in his bedroom. What's hiding in your bedroom???
Glad to say significant amount of the Lunas Estate, as stewarded by my good friend, was passed along to appreciative new owners, maybe more will go with a repeat visit tomorrow. While a lot was passed along, there's always stuff left. Maybe we'll do it again late Summer or in the Fall.

None in the bedroom, way too many most everywhere else, basement, garage, patio, attic, trailer, etc.
Did the woman with the LHT have a Chihuahua in a pack on her back?
Did you get the Stumpy dude's contact info by chance? I would like to try and help him out.
