Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Reefer? Rumour has it!

No doubt. Luckily most of the dirt road was hard-pack. I'll be building a dedicated gravel set of wheels shortly...Gonna throw some WTB 40mm Nanos on the Ardennes+.

Next time I'll bring the real camera...the treasure was a road called "Porchuck..." amazing twisty bit of a bender. I was ashamed of my lack of mad handling skillz. My riding partner, a grizzled ol' racer, corners like a switchblade opens, and he put me to shame... I made him promise me cornering classes this year.

...and I need a bigger BIG chainring. Was spinning out 48x11 @ 120+ rpm.

Worst part about racing low cat CX - none of those guys can corner very quickly so I sometimes get stuck behind them and curse, but they're all fully buffed in the VO2 Max department so kill me on the straights.
