Calgary, AB - Rides
Hey all,
I'll be moving to Calgary soon, currently staying with a friend while I work and was wondering where one can go on some lengthy rides without having to deal with the traffic / congestion on a stop and go basis. I'm in the south of the city. If any locals are around let me know. Would be great.
Thanks.

Lots of good rides in South Calgary. Anything south of the 22x and west of McLeod Trail is all acreage country and well frequented by bikes. If you're on Strava, check out "Road to Nepal", one of the local legendary climbing routes....
Also, Elbow Valley Cycling Club does lots of group rides in the south and are cheap to join ($30/year). Even if you don't want to do group rides, you can look on their ride calendar and get some good routes without joining.
