Just call me Carrie
An awkward unicycle.
Shogun was the victim of deferred maintenance, poor thing.

Shifters up and running. Some nos foam grips with reflectors as bar plugs. Decals and wheel polishing during some stolen minutes this weekend.

31.8 to 25.4mm shims made by a local luther/machinist (made of aluminum). I tested them and they work.

PS: This doesn't really count as something that "I" wrenched, right?

You don't see those foam grips too much anymore; we sold tons of the Grab-ons. I still have the MTB ones on my mountain bike. Also, I had that same Magturbo trainer! I lent it to someone, they moved and I never saw it again. I took it as a sign from the Fates that I was to stop exercising .

'81 Weigle Sportif
Not quite ready for prime time yet, hoping to kit it out for Weigle's French Fender Day, next weekend. My first mostly retro build in quite a while. Some deets on my flickr page.
I could not abide the NR/long-cage mod rder shifting, so it now sports a Suntour Cyclone MkII rder.
Prolly have to drop from 35mm to 32mm to squeeze in the fenders I have on hand. Might add just a rear rack, maybe none, just a retro seat bag? Not really a rando rig.
The Chris King headset, Merz tripelizer 42-32 rings, outer 47 Sugino Super Mighty ring and probably the bar-cons, all bought new, have been with me since '80-'82.

For those following along... finished up the varsity this evening. Except brake cable ends per final adjustment. About the trainer. I have 3. One displays my TDF. other 2 make great work stands. Cheers, Kevin.

Completely rebuilding and overhauling a 1977 Trek TX900. All components have been removed, cleaned, and it is ready to be reassembled.

Dumpsta bike
Ten days ago I pulled this and a sister Trek 700 out of a dumpster. 700 went to the local co-op, and this one stayed behind. It has been my project for three days now, on and off. Lots of repairs to frozen adjusters, and the likes. About $75 in parts but this one will go to a needy grad student in music. As always; a good overhaul, and new chain, and fw. Smiles, MH

Totally missed the presence of water bottle brazens in CL pics but glad they are there!

Wheel base 41”

All standard components will work, even C&V!
My new(2004) Dahon folder which I have tore down for a rebuild and a little upgrading. TIG welded but butted 4130 chromoly steel. Fun bikes for serious use.

Spent some time stripping the Takara I picked up for its upgraded 700c wheels and Suntour barcons but I am going to see if I can resurrect it with some parts bin items back to its stem shifting, 27" wheels, stock self, make it functional and sell it on so it can be someone else's project. Both derailleurs have issues that need sorting but neither the stem or seatpost is stuck so there is hope.

Takara in the stand stripped of the good stuff

Complete Suntour barcons which I have already posted to eBay

my prize, a set of 700c Mavic Open pro rims with ultetgra hubs that will go on a Specialized Allez that came to me with no wheels.

This Holdsworth Professional that I recently acquired. Definitely has been ridden. Years of nicks and scratches, grime, dirt, and 4000 layers of bar tape. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...l#post21139041

Building this Piaggio Bianchi for my brother, I believe it's an '83 with a tasty Cinelli pantographed chrome fork and full arabesque 600 groupo. The modern seat will be the first thing to go.
