I wear my Airjack 851 more than any other jacket and it's still good but I'm starting to worry how much longer it will last. I also have an Assos Bonka, but wear it less often because it's too hot above 35F or so. Can anyone recommend an excellent winter jacket for about 32-45F? (Above that I wear my Assos Tiburu jacket.)

That one is best for higher temps than the OP is asking for. The Perfetto ROS 2 is the next warmer one. I spend a good chunk of the winter in that jacket (well the previous version, no 2) and am impressed. 30-45F or so. I also have an Alpha, I wore it today in 45-60 weather and it is great for that range.

Is Castelli really slim? I'm 5'10" and 200 lbs.

I wear the ROS 2 in 20 degrees all the way up to 40. IMO it’s too warm above 45.

The ROS 2 is a bit different than the older non-2 version I have, the non-2 has two zippers with an inner liner and if you keep that liner unzipped it will get you a bit warmer. I have a Double Espresso I wear below 30F but agree the Perfetto works fine from 20-30F with enough under layers.

Note this is also personal, people heat up at different rates depending on their metabolism, and I may be running colder than you.

Re: sizing the Castellis all run small so you often need a size up. But also some of the tops are more stretchy than the others and will be more forgiving in the fit. The Alpha ROS is very stiff, the Perfetto is fairly flexible and the Double Espresso is very flexible. The newer Alpha 2 may be more stretchy than the old one I have.

I have a couple that I wear (base layers can be merino or synthetic depending on temps and type of ride...fast/climb/slower) made by Specialized and Rapha. I'd forget Specialized if you're not riding one (they work really well too though I got them on clearance and the branding is subtle) but the Rapha Winter Jersey is another go-to from 25-45 degrees. Colder range- I use diff thickness merino and warmer end of the range I use synthetic base layer. I even use them at 20 degrees with a thicker merino base layer. The Rapha is very versatile and comfy as well. It is pretty soft and has vents. It feels a bit too warm above 45 and sunny (cloudy is ok though the sun is intense at altitude so much warmer) unless I am doing a mellower ride.

It is called the Men's Winter Cycling Jersey. Currently in navy and black. I have a muted yellow but they seem to have discontinued that color.

I am 6' and 200 ish. 45 inch chest/ 35 waist. I got a Castelli XXL and it's a slim fit. They are more Euro sized so size up one. Very well made btw. And I think it's sale season for winter gear.

I too still wear and love my >10-year-old Assos Airjack 851, but to me 32-45F is way too warm for that jacket...unless I'm wearing nothing but a short-sleeve summer jersey underneath it. So, given that we clearly have different tolerances for cold, take the following suggestion with a grain of salt:

For 32-45°F my go-to would be a winter weight jersey (not a jacket) made of a breathable thermal fabric. Something like the Pearl Izumi Kodiak (although that appears to be discontinued by PI so perhaps availability is suspect?) And then I'll bring along a warm but packable wind vest, which will almost certainly get taken off once the temps get above ~42°

otoh, I've heard good things about the Velocio Alpha Merino Air Jacket, though I have no direct experience with one.
