I need information on the specifications of my Atala Bike

I would like to know all the details or specifications about my Atala Bicycle. The number on the Chasis seems to be either:

VEC1311165U
VEC13111650
VEC1311165O

The last number is the one I seem to not see well, please provide me with year and type of bike, seems to be a Californian Style I guess. I am very curious about it.

The pedals themselves read S152 if that helps.

Thanks in advance guys.

Welcome to the forum. How old is your Atala? I always think of them as being from the '70s, but there are newer ones than that. You can't post pictures until you make 9 more posts, but you can upload them to an album in your gallery and we can post them for you.

If the bike is fairly old, I can move this thread to Classic and Vintage for you

That would be awesome! I have no idea what year it is, I got it from an old lady and she has no more details about it as she forgets those type of things. I just uploaded pics in my gallery. Please take a look and if you could post them here, that would be great, thanks!

Unfortunately the forums picture uploading is a bit clunky and I think you didn't notice you had to hit upload at the end even thought it looks like you already uploaded the pics. So you don't have any pictures or albums.

I have been trying to find out the year and model but no luck. Do you think that by moving the post to the VINTAGE SECTION, the someone there might know about it?

.
...we tend to think of Atala bikes here in terms of the road bike models, but they were (are ?) a very large maker of bikes in Italy, and marketed a full range of models. That one looks like their version of the Sting Ray. I don't know of any version of a serial number data base.

A search of "Atala muscle bike" on Google will bring up several images of Sting Ray-like (aka muscle bike) Atala models.
It's one step closer to the truth for you anyway.
