Which tactics do you like better?

The classic Team Sky tactics of we are just going to grind this out for 3 weeks, not worry about stage wins, and win the TDF

or??

Pogačar's tactics of punching them in the face in Week 1, winning as many stages as possible, and wrapping up the Yellow by stage 8 deflating the hopes of everyone else?

I’d rather watch this. The Sky train was painful and boring to watch. It might seem that one guy has this wrapped up but after watching for twenty years I know anything can happen in a blink of an eye that changes everything.

Neither, both only work when the leader is the strongest rider.

Ineos learned that the Sky Train just gives other teams' domestiques an easy day ever since they failed to find a replacement dominant climber/TT guy after Froome.

Anyone besides Pogacar would the stupid to waste energy winning stages early in a grand tour, but he's clearly hair-tufts-springing-out-of-helmet-on-his-head and shoulders above the competition while also being impervious to fatigue and bad luck. Only things he seemingly can't do are win a sprint against Mathieu van der Poel (who's a total GT non-factor) in a one-day race or singlehandedly bring back a group when he's asked to defend the leader's jersey on a weaker teammate (no offense to Brandon McNulty) in a lesser stage race.

I figure if Sky Ineos tactics are going to work, Stage 9 and Stage 10 appears to be the key. I like Podacar's goal of not only winning the tour but winning as many stages as possible. Love to see him try to win a sprint stage aka Eddy Mercx style.

Sky / Ineos simply extended Lance's blue train.

UAE couldn't execute it if they wanted to.

Though it's less of a nail biter shoot out, there's a certain beauty to watching a well oiled machine crush the competition. But given the choice, I'd rather spectate Ineos in Wolfpack mode than Blue Train mode.

I wonder if we could see an attack from Martinez or Primoz on this mountain stage before the second rest day. Would be neat to see someone in the break take yellow.

Looks like the GC contenders took the day off for once from chasing stage wins.
