Raleigh Professional in Team Colors - is this a good price?
Hi,
I started a thread on C&V trying to gather additional information on a Worksop Team Professional 1979 frameset.
All details are here: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...es-gauges.html
Seller asks 170$ including the Campy headset and dropout adjustment screws. Add 15$ for delivery.
I only have pictures and cannot check the frame in person, the seller says tubes and threads are fine. I think paint is not in very good condition, but not many such models around and the size is ok for me. Do you think this is worth the price?

That's not a bad price, I've owned an '83 Replica team in the Competition frame. The one you are looking at should ride similar. I sold that one for $125. If what is pictured the one you want, it is in much better condition than what I had.

Pics are those at the beginning, I’ll put them here as well to confirm.
Campy headsets here are sold ~40$, that would make 130$ for the frame, so similar to your Competition. As per the differences between a Pro and a Competition, I tried go deeper on the topic in the C&V thread mentioned above, not an easy task, please don’t hesitate if you have any comments.

That's the only Raleigh model I'd ever consider owning, and if it were my size I'd snatch it up in half a heartbeat @ $170. Paint doesn't look too bad, probably will clean up well, easy shade to match for touch-up, and it's for sure original paint and decals.
You know you want it - go get it

Hehehe, you know how to talk to C&V-ers…
Btw, if you have any comments to add on this frame in its C&V dedicated thread (link above) it would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

Here is the Comp, upgraded wheels and cranks, original brakes and a longer but original type seatpost. Unfortunately it was made for one about 8" shorter than me.
