It was really windy the first couple days, but died off by the end of the week. I used to go to Duck every summer and there were rides up to Corolla where I'd average maybe 15 one way, 26+ the other. The wind can be demotivating so I just make sure I try to ride into it to start my ride and sail home after. Loved the Hatteras area, btw, having never been that far south before.

We have always gone to Hatteras/ Frisco since I was kid. After the trip this year, the wife and I have come to the conclusion it’s just too far to travel with two kids. (one kid now, but another one on the way) I think from now on we’re going to go to southern nags head. I do plan on riding from ocracoke all the way to southern shores one day.
