BMC TT02 frame. Now, what do I put on it?
I am currently in my winter season mood, i.e. looking at all the endless possible parts to build the perfect weigth/price ratio TT bike. Just bought this frame: https://www.ebay.com/itm/160662614153...84.m1497.l2649 and now I'm hesitating between a Sram red build vs FSA vision cransket build. Enjoy my anticipated build and feel free to post any comments or suggestion that could help me or destroy my opponnents.
Groupset: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Sram-Red...ht_1639wt_1396
Tri bars: https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/roa...rs/ITALHBAT110 vs https://www.trisports.com/profile-des...d-aerobar.html
Saddle: ISM Adamo racing 2 white https://www.ebay.com/itm/320788228696...84.m1423.l2649
Crankset: https://www.probikekit.com/ca/compone...-chainset.html vs https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-SRAM-Red...ht_2241wt_1163
Zipp wheelset: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Zipp-80...item3a6ba9f9a4
Water bottle cages: https://www.xlab-usa.com/products/cag...s/aero-tt.html
Just received the frame, in the next week I'll be buying everything to build up that frame and adjust/index it perfectly in my garage getting it perfectly ready for the next season.

All I can say is: you lucky ba$tard. There appear to be no wrong choices there, its all nice stuff.
FWIW - I like SRAM.

Personally if you are going to spend that much on a crankset, I'd look at putting the funds towards a Power2Max or used wired SRM...

FWIW I like the SRAM red and kinda wish I hadn't made the Shimano decision so hastily during my build. The extra money you put towards the crank is better put towards wheels, IMHO.
Looks like you got a cool winter project ahead of you. Have fun

Volna aerobars come with ski-bend extensions, just like my (discontinued?) Lightning Stryke.
Which is a fine shape - for clip-ons. If I had to put my shifters in the extensions, I'd get flat or S-Bend extensions. Profile's Ski-Bend ones are supremely comfortable, but I wouldn't think so if I had to shift from them.

I have now bought ski extensions and will be swapping back out to these. If the ends are at the right height, there is no issues changing gears with ski extensions.

If it were me, I would just get whatever is cheaper between a red or dura ace groupo.
Is there really any difference between bar-end red and dura ace (non-electric). There is obviously going to be a difference between the STI versions...but bar ends should function nearly identically right?

you would think they should be the same, but sram and shimano have different pull ratios, so make sure to match up your derailleurs to your shifters.

Why go 34/50 on a TT bike? Even a moderately fit cyclist will outspin a compact on a flat course with some backwind, and you'll lose masses of time on those who can still put the power down. If the course is hilly enough (remember, it's a TT), you can take a cassette with a 29t cog.

Actually I'm hesitating between 54/39 and 53/39. I would never go compact.
SRAM shifters (and Zipp's and the newly-released Campagnolo TT-shifters) return to the center ("R2C") after every shift - Dura-Ace doesn't.

Things like cranksets and groupsets make little difference in your actual time. If you like Red, go Red all around.
The Firecrest 808 are probably the best time trial front wheel out right now.
I'd buy your aerbar based on your fit needs. It's always better to use aerobar spacers as opposed to stem spacers. If you need a "low" bar, this is pretty sweet:

If you need a "high" bar, then I like the BRezza:

Force front Derailleur versus RED. 1090S chain and cassette is junk - chain clatter and noisy., run Ultegra chain and rear cassette.
Planet X brakes are stronger and lighter. https://www.planet-x-usa.com/pCNC%20U...ht-Brakes.aspx
I'm running the Profile Design Cobra Wing front bar in carbon with these for aerobars: https://www.profile-design.com/profil...lus-cobra.html
This on a BMC TT03 frame
