Tires
Sup guys!
I need to buy new tires but I'm sure what brand. The brands that I have to choose from are: Bontrager, Specialized and micheline. I'm currently running bontrager tires but I'm curious to see how the other tires feel. Which brand would you quys choose?
I'm looking more for puncture protection than speed btw, I hate getting flats.
Thanks!

Try the Pro 4 endurance. You have to carry a pump and a spare with pretty much any tire anyway.

If you are looking for a tire with lots of flat protection, you shouldn't care how they feel. Btw, they feel crappy.

With online shopping why limit yourself to those three brands?

It's weird and annoying to me how, around here, every time some anonymous dude asks a question, half of the responses are stupid questions back that get all up in the dude's personal business and have nothing to do with answering the question. It's like a bunch of dumb sorority girls around here; just looking to cause pointless drama. Really, WTF??? WTF difference does it make if he has to choose from one of those three brands? Maybe his momma, his granny, and his great-granny each work at one, or maybe he owns stock, or maybe he's simply got a goddam gift card. Do you really think this dude does not know he can shop on the internet? WTF, guys. Seriously.

Well, michelins are the only ones which are vegan friendly, if that makes a difference. The others (bontrager and specialized) use an animal-fat based mold release agent.

Limiting to 3 brands is an odd requirement, so I think it is a valid question. Maybe the OP is a noob with some mistaken impression about brands and could be enlightened by our vast knowledge base !
Or maybe op wants to support the LBS and that's what they carry, which makes sense.
It just another example of not quite enough info up front which leads to further questions.
Even worse in the mechanics forum.

You could pick from any of the three manufacturers you've selected and come up with something that fits your needs, problem is, we don't know what your needs are? What are you riding, what size tire do you need, what type of terrain do you ride on, what size rims do you have, what's your budget? A bit more info would help us help you. I know a guy who cant put his bike on a bike rack without getting a flat but unless you're aiming for glass, don't know how to properly install a tube/tire, not properly inflating your tires before "every" ride, or just have bad luck (like my friend), you shouldn't be getting too many flats.

My most recent new bike purchase came with these. Strada LGG Road | Clement Cycling, Cyclocross Tires, Adventure Tires, Mountain Bike Tires, Road Bike Tires. They are the best I have had in my relatively short road cycling career. Part of this may be due to the fact that they are 25's and I had run 23's previously.

Buy some Specialized Armadillos. You'll almost never flat. And as a bonus, your posterior will get a lot tougher.

I put 2300 (or so) commuting miles on Bontrager tires and was very happy. They were a little sketchy in the rain and turning at high speeds but my first rainy commute was also 1200+ miles in the tires so it's probably not a fair assessment.

Another vote for the PRO4 Endurance. Best tires I ever ran. I know there are more flat resistant tires out there, but these are fast and feel good, too. I hear that Schwalbe Ones are good too, but haven't had the opportunity and they're not on the list.
