Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just picked up my new Moots Vamoots RCS. New DA12 Di2 with a Stages left arm PM (no dual sided available yet). Titanium everything (stem/seatpost/cages) and carbon everything else. Went with Enve 4.5AR SES wheels; a bit more aero given the lack of elevation in the Midwest. Apparently Dura Ace 140 brake rotors don't exist yet so we adapted the rear to a 160 (extra braking power).

Got one of the new Silica titanium mounts however my old Wahoo Bolt didn't fit so I had to get a new one (oh darn). I was thinking about it anyway so apparently now was the time.

Only did a test ride before taking delivery and it was unreal. The sound of riding on the titanium and the Enve Hub was incredible. New DA shifts before your finger even leaves the shifter. Can't wait to give it a proper introduction to the road this weekend.
how long did your order from Moots take? I placed an order through my LBS back in Jan and still have not heard from Moots.
what bottle cages are those?
thanks!

Ended up being 5 months. Put the order in February and got it in July. Would have been March (they had the Stanley in my size ready) but they had a bad batch of dropouts so they had to remake the bike.

The cages are King Titanium. They match the bike perfectly; I was going to get them blasted with some color like the Stanley finish but decided against it.

FYI: It took me eight months to get my Moots Vamoots Disc RLS, from the end of October 2021 to the end of June 2021. I need to post pictures here.

I sold my EM Strada last fall after suffering an injury and knowing I wouldn't be able to ride for some time. It was hard to fathom not seeing or being able to ride a bike while rehabbing. I'm my own worse patient so there were days I wanted to jump on the SS/FG and just go but I had to give it time. Well, that time finally arrived and perfect timing it was since Lynskey was having their sale. I missed the Helix I had sold last summer and so I went ahead got another one, pre-built with Rival AXS 2x12. I had to swap out the FSA compact bar and went with my go to handlebar which is a 3T Superleggera and shortened the hydraulic brake lines as well. Still waiting for the Ciclovation bar tape, KMC X12 DLC black chain and PZero 30c tubeless tires. In the meantime, fresh of the rollers and ready for its shakedown ride tomorrow morning.

105 Di2 gruppo. I'm a steel guy at heart but this is a very nice ride nonetheless.

My wife's bike looks stunning against this emerald green lawnscape:

We since rolled the bars up a wee bit.

Here is how it looked when it was first born:

And after headset insertion:

De-decalled Velomax Tempests, now called Easton Tempest II. Smoothest hubs I've ever spun, to a crazy degree.

A couple of GTs that deserve to get ridden more. The hardtail, I have a legit excuse in that I pulled the drivetrain to convert a gravel bike to flat bars. The roadie, well it hangs in the back of the garage that makes it hard to pull off the rack without moving the car out of the way first 😅
