Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My second good night's sleep in the last two weeks. I'm taking it easy today. Sleep is difficult for old people. No matter how tired I am and what time I go t bed, I'm frequently up between 3:30 and 4:30. Today I slept til 6.

Remind me next Sunday or Monday and I'll tell you where and when. You could also join some club rides if you're in to that sort of thing. sfvbc.org
You forgot to mention the hills. Can't speak for others, but BillyD would have to know that subtle detail. lol

These Tuesday rides are not what I would call hilly, but option 3 has the most climbing. If he has been riding this area he knows there is nothing flat for more than a few miles.

They are also guaranteed uncontaminated, unlike the gauge, which has to be cleaned assiduously. I have a lot of business cards, which I will never use for the intended purpose.
I folded the business card over the disk, so it was two-sided shimming. I think having only the disk between the pads when doing 'loosen-squeeze-tighten' doesn't provide enough centering force on the caliper, but the thicker combo of car on both sides of disk does.

The same here, flat is hard to find.

Are the areas in the 48 that are more godforsaken than Rock Springs, Wyoming?

Discuss.

What's wrong with Rock Springs? It's website describes it as a very pleasant place:

Welcome to Rock Springs...a diverse city richly steeped in western history and coal mining. Outlaw gangs who roamed the West often passed through Rock Springs or used it as a destination. As a young man, outlaw “Butch” Cassidy worked in Rock Springs as a butcher…acquiring the name “Butch”. We are also known as the City of “56 Nationalities” as people emigrated to Rock Springs in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s to work in the Union Pacific coal mines. We have a reputation of being a very friendly, helpful, and welcoming community……our people are the fabric of our city. Come visit us…you may enjoy yourself so much that you will want to stay!

Muleshoe and Perryton, Texas are pretty godforsaken.

I'm tempted to comment in such a way that I'd get a warning for P&R content outside the P&R forum.

LesterOfPuppets used to live there. He posted pictures from his rides, and it's no exaggeration to say some of them looked like a Martian landscape, with a few quasi-bushes.
