What is this Paramount
Me thinks this is a Japanmount not Waterford built. Whoever told him otherwise was misinformed. https://cgi.ebay.com/BIKE-Schwinn-Par...QQcmdZViewItem

He's had it listed for a lot more in various unsuccessful auctions, like this one, running concurrent to the listing above:

Seems like a lot of sizzle for not much steak.

This ad is not only hard to read, but it is full of misinformation. He links to the Waterford site, which clearly shows that this is an Asian built Series 2.

I love the line in the end of the text stating "PDG ordered 589 of em, and introduced Shimano To The U.S.A.."
I guess we missed out on all this:
1921: Shozaburo Shimano establishes Shimano Iron Works and begins production of the original Shimano freewheel.
1931: First export of the Shimano freewheel
1940: Company is incorporated and name changed to Shimano Iron Works Co., Ltd.
1956: First Shimano derailleur appears.
1957: First Shimano 3-speed internally geared rear hub appears.
1965: Shimano American Corp. established in New York, USA.
1967: "Sky-Lark" derailleur and "Servo-Pantograph" mechanism introduced.
1972: Dura-Ace racing component group introduced.
1980: Shimano AX aerodynamic racing component system introduced.
1984: SIS® and New Dura-Ace® group introduced.
(from https://www.mombat.org/Shimano.htm )
I'm not sure how early Schwinn started using Shimano, but they for sure had it on the '72/'73 World Voyageurs and some Paramounts in '73.
