Hello from East Tennessee

Hello, I am a newbie here. I am very new to biking. I rode my bike everywhere as a kid, but was always a BMX. I hadn't ridden in 25 years. My family purchased a 26" Huffy for me to see if I would still be interested in riding. I an looking into getting more into this, so I am looking to purchase a better bike for it. Riding the bike I have feels like pedaling underwater. With our budget though, it will probably end up being a used one. Ideally, it would be a jack of all trades, but I will take what I can get.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm new here myself, and also just started riding again after 20-ish years. The first few rides are tough, but keeping it fun makes things easier.

Oh, I agree completely. I figure someone has already worked all the kinks out of it.

Welcome, Quijote. Other than the GT Dyno Air bike my parents bought me as a kid, I've only ever owned used bikes! There are amazing finds to be had on craigslist/facebook marketplace/ebay.
