Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You'll probably get a lot of advice...from the real and would-be internet lawyers.

From reading other threads like this, something in common is the advice to not discuss the details of this on the internet lest you give the "other side" information they can use against you...

First advice is to STFU and go find an injury attorney that specializes in bike law before you fry your claim.
I work in a Personal Injury Office. Stop talking.

On a friendlier note. In the state of Oregon you can use your car insurance coverage for Personal Injury Protection and Underinsured/Uninsured Motorist coverage. In other words you can put a claim in on yourself. Check with your agent and see if this is possible.

Yeah, I'd get a good lawyer.

And heal well.

28mph...

Got Garmin data?

I missed the OP, but it's a good sign you're able to post anything.

Be well, and good luck on your recovery.

Interesting; I know PIP works like that here, any idea if U/UMC works the same in Texas? I always carry it at ridiculous levels since it's so cheap anyway. (And I've known too many hit and run victims.) If it would help on the bike I might even jack it up more.

Wow! That was one abrupt end to your ride. I guess it really screwed your cool down.
